DIVISION 30 AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIPS

Plaques and trophies below are the actual ones presented.  Certificates or other devices may be awarded in place of banner patches.

LOUIS P. DAVENPORT MEMBERSHIP AWARD

This is a perpetual cup and is awarded at  the Division Installation to the club with the highest percentage of growth in the division.   Membership growth is based on the membership reported as of October 1 of each year and the lt. governor will announce the last reporting month for consideration.

RICHARD W. MEALEY ADMINISTRATIVE AWARD

A perpetual award presented to the club with the highest total points from the monthly reports of October and the lt. governor will announce the last reporting month of the year for consideration.

Retired and no longer given.

SHO YAMADA DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD

Awarded to an individual in the division who has demonstrated the high ideals of past Division 30 Lt. Governor Sho Yamada.  The last recipient organizes the voting and presents the award.  The selection is made by past recipients and the current lt. governor.  

The recipient is presented with a personal plaque with a likeness of Sho Yamada and his or her name is inscribed on a plate attached to the perpetual plaque.  The perpetual plaque is passed on to the next year's winner which is held for one year.

WILKE WILKERSON TRAVELING BELL INTERCLUB AWARD

The Wilke Wilkerson Traveling Bell award is presented to the  Division 30 club with the highest number of miles traveled to  interclubs during the year.  The award is a silver bell and his held by the winning club until presented at the following year's Division Installation.   The lt. governor will announce the reporting period for consideration.

DIVISION 30 INTERCLUB AWARD

Interclub award is  presented to the Kiwanis club with the most number of interclubs completed during the year.   The lt. governor will announce the reporting period for consideration.

CARY MAYER CLUB SECRETARY AWARD

Awarded to the club secretary who makes a significant contribution to Division 30 and exemplifies the high ideals and commitment to Kiwanis as did Cary Mayer, past Division 30 Lt. Governor and past Club Secretary of the La Mirada Kiwanis Club.  This perpetual  award is a plaque with the likeness of Cary Mayer and each recipient's name.
