LEAPING
INTO SERVICE TOGETHER
Every Club a Winner
Hello - I am so proud to be
serving the Kiwanis clubs and members of Division 30 for the 2003-2004
year. My name is Stephaine Walker and I'm a member of the Kiwanis Club
of Whittier-Rio Hondo.
Division
30 is a made up of the 14 Kiwanis clubs in north Orange County and part of
east Los Angeles county.
Achieving Lieutenant Governor is another step in my progression of service.
I enjoy people and desire to help or touch the lives of those that I have the ability to assist.
I feel that the greatest gift to others is our time, time to "lend a helping hand."
Towards that, my goals for the next year for the Division are quite simple:
The four "F"s
- Foundation - Support the
Kiwanis Cal-Nev-Ha Foundation.
- Fun - Have fun in your
club meetings.
- Fellowship - Work well with
each other and enjoy the company with fellow Kiwanians.
- "F"ervice -
The reason for Kiwanis, service to our community.
How do we do this? Focus on getting "back" to
service, the objects of Kiwanis. Assisting the clubs on getting healthy
(charter strength). Working together as a division to that end and sharing in membership growth.
Fellowship and service to each other. Getting to know each other by
participating in divisional socials and working together in divisional projects.
WHY THE THE
FROG?
The frog is a symbol of forward progression, because it does not have the ability to go backward.
I see my assignment as lieutenant governor as a resource and cheerleader for the
club officers as we are:
"Leaping into Service Together"
which will ensure that
"Every Club is a Winner"
by
"Lending a Hand"
to those in need.
