Kiwanians, Sponsored Youth and student volunteers from
Division 30 arrived at the La Habra Community Center on Thursday night,
December 26 to make turkey, peanut butter and jelly, and cheese sandwiches
for the 400 other volunteers who would be building the Kiwanis Rose Float
the following day. In addition, members of the Kiwanis Club of La
Habra were in the kitchen making a spaghetti for dinner the following
evening.
In these photos, 800 slices of sandwich bread are
unwrapped, mustard and mayo are added, followed by the turkey and bagged
in sandwich bags. Chips and cookies are added and the bags are
stapled closed.
Thanks to the
members of the Boy Scout Troop 883, La Mirada Kiwanis, La Habra High
School Coyotes, La Serna High School Key Club, La Habra High School Key
Club, Cal High Key Club, Pico Rivera Kiwanis, La Palma Kiwanis,
Whittier-Rio Hondo Kiwanis, Brea Kiwanis, St. Paul High School and University
of Washington for participating.
