During the 1999-2002 year, Kiwanis Governor Terri Neumann came up with the idea to get  Kiwanis and sponsored youth (Circle K, Key Club, KIWIN'S, Builder's, and K-Kids) in a division to work together in a project on a specific day each year.  This would provide a unique opportunity for the Kiwanis family to work together, provide a great service project and would give the organization the recognition it deserved.

Looking at Division 30, that would mean combining the efforts of 14 Kiwanis clubs and 40 sponsored youth clubs or about 2,000 Kiwanis family members working together - One Day, One Family.

Participating Kiwanis family members receive recognition from their communities and the participating clubs receive a banner patch.   

Thanks to the following clubs in Division 30 who participated:

 

KIWANIS CLUB OF GREATER ANAHEIM    Anaheim Key Club   Savana Key Club   Katella Key Club   Servite Key Club   Loara Key Club   Western Key Club Cancer Walk:  Sponsors supported walkers with contributions at Western High School Track Club and raised $2,000.  In addition, cooked hamburger lunch for participants. Kiwanians:  18 Sponsored Youth:  41! Hours:  180 Dollars Spent:  $50.00 Click on photos below to enlarge KIWANIS CLUB OF GREATER WHITTIER    St Mary's of the Assumption Builder's Club    California High School Key Club    Whittier College Circle K Club Pancake Breakfast for Seniors:  Sponsored Youth helped Kiwanis fix, serve, visit and clean up at St Patrick's Pancake Breakfast for senior citizens.  Served 358. KIWANIS CLUB OF LA HABRA   Whittier Christian High School Key Club  Clean Community Center:  Kiwanians and Key Clubbers cleaned windows and dug trenches for brink work at Gary Community Center. KIWANIS CLUB OF WHITTIER-RIO HONDO   La Serna High School Key Club  Refurbish Park Equipment:  City of Whittier sponsored refurbishing of Laurel Park.  City provided all supplies.  Equipment was sanded and paint scraped; then painted again.  Kiwanis also served hot dogs for community and workers. Kiwanians:  10 Sponsored Youth:  8 Hours:  72 Dollars Spent:  $75. Click on thumbnail photos to enlarge: KIWANIS CLUB OF BREA    Brea Olinda High School Key Club    El Dorado High School Key Club    Boy Scout Troop 801 Park Clean-Up:  Groups met at Chino Hills State Park and broke up into 6 groups to clean up Chino Hills State Park, Carbon Canyon Regional Park and part of the Green River.  Kiwanis hosted hot dog lunch afterwards.
